«Arctic: present and future» -2019

The IX international forum «Arctic: present and future» was held in St. Petersburg at the EXPOFORUM Convention and exhibition center from 5 to 7 December 2019. At the forum JSC «Concern «Granit-Electron» presented the Arctic competences of the enterprise.
In the exhibition area of the forum St. Petersburg was presented as a center of industry, science and communication platform for discussing the issues of Arctic development. At the integrated exposition of the Government of St. Petersburg Concern «Granit-Electron» had the opportunity to demonstrate scientific, technological and production potential for the development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.

So, on the forum the company presented the unique science&engineering technology of building effective security infrastructure in Arctic zone, based on unified information network. The project’s implementation provides the equipping of Arctic offshore with dual purpose maintenance-free remotely controlled observation posts, based on coastal radars, united in integrated system for surface monitoring in coastal Arctic zone.

Our radars solve a wide range of navigation tasks: they provide the safety of navigation, monitor the environment, detect and track low-altitude objects in all weather conditions: in extremely low temperatures, under conditions of humidity and magnetic anomalies, in troposphere and ionosphere disturbances (northern lights).

Effective solution of the tasks of the environment monitoring of the Russian Federation Arctic zone by the Concern’s technologies will strengthen the leading role of the Navy in the development of the economic complex of the Arctic zones of Russia and civil shipping.

The integrated exhibition was attended by Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexander Krutikov and Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Federal structure, regional policy, local government and Northern Affairs Alexander Akimov, Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Eduard Batanov. Chairman of the Committee of St. Petersburg for Arctic Affairs German Shirokov presented the advanced developments of St. Petersburg companies, among which JSC «Concern «Granit-Electron» is one of the key enterprises integrated into the development of the Arctic.

JCS «Concern «Granit-Electron» is ready to implement its comprehensive program to expand the development of Arctic zone, ensuring North Sea Route navigation safety, for maritime, shelf and continental infrastructure objects protection, for emergency prevention.
